12 months to go  

If you wish to get short-term braces, Invisalign or commence a teeth-whitening regime in preparation for your wedding, now is the time to get the ball rolling with this. 

 10 months to go  

Book a consultation appointment with a dermatologist. This will give you professional advice on how to rectify any problem areas you would like to work on before your wedding day as well as a personally tailored skin-care regime.  

 At this point you should also be incorporating skin-care routines into your daily life and begin taking any supplements that have been recommended to you.  

 8 months to go  

Meet with a personal trainer or begin your fitness regime if this is something you wish to work on coming up to the wedding. 

 

Ensure your diet is at its best. Ensure you’re drinking enough water daily and make meal plans which incorporate the right amounts of every nutrient. This will benefit your physical health as well as your skin-care.  

 6 months to go 

Let the trial-runs begin! Book trial appointments for hair colouring and styling which you’re considering for the big day. Start trial-runs for tan as well with various shades and salons, as this can be a very difficult factor to get right. 

 Make a conscious effort to take care of you nails from this point onwards by eating the correct nutrients and using beneficial products. 

 Reconfirm times with your hair and make-up vendors for the big day.

3 months to go  

Make-up trials, eyebrow tint patch tests and a lash extension trials can all commence at this point. If you’ve never gotten a wax before but are planning to do so for the wedding, do a trial-run at this point to ensure you’ve no allergic reactions to the products used. 

 Get your Invisalign or braces removed. 

 1 month to go  

Attend any final trials and nail down the details of what exactly you want for your wedding day in terms of hair, beauty, tan and nails.  

 Book you nail and tan appointments for the day before your wedding day. 

 Plan your hair and beauty schedule for the morning of your wedding with your stylists, artists and entourage so that you’ve a clear-cut plan of how the morning will plan out.   

 Start cutting down on how often you wear make-up to let your skin breathe.  

 2 weeks to go 

Attend your final teeth whitening session if applicable. 

 Don’t try any new skin treatments, face-masks or hair products from this point onwards to avoid unanticipated allergic reactions.  

 Relaxation, stress-reduction and mindfulness should be an absolute priority. Spend plenty of time with your husband-to-be to keep those beneficial happy hormones in strong supply.

2 weeks to go 

Attend your final teeth whitening session if applicable. 

 Don’t try any new skin treatments, face-masks or hair products from this point onwards to avoid unanticipated allergic reactions.  

 Relaxation, stress-reduction and mindfulness should be an absolute priority. Spend plenty of time with your husband-to-be to keep those beneficial happy hormones in strong supply. 

 1 week to go 

Get your final hair colour touch-up and trim. If your partner dyes his hair encourage him to do the same. 

 Get your final lash extension top-up. Get your eyebrows done and attend your waxing appointments.  

 1 day to go 

Attend you manicure and pedicure appointment.  

 Get your spray tan done. 

 Relax with your partner, parents or bridal party and incorporate as much self-care as possible.  

 The big day  

Follow you hair and beauty schedule to a tee to avoid any unnecessary stress.  

 Relax, unwind and embrace these final few hours – the big day is here and you look stunning, so enjoy yourself!
